There’s something exciting (and a little nerve-wracking) about trying something new — and that’s exactly how we felt creating our very first How-To video: How to Make Cafecito.
If you know us, you know Cuban coffee is more than just coffee. A cafecito is culture, tradition, conversation, and a daily ritual that brings people together. It’s the little cup shared with family, neighbors, coworkers, and friends, sometimes first thing in the morning, sometimes way too late at night (because in Cuban culture, is it ever really too late for cafecito?).
We’ve always loved sharing Cuban food and coffee through our food truck, but making this video felt different. We were excited to teach something so close to our hearts, while also being a little nervous stepping in front of the camera for our first official how-to. Still, we knew it was important to show the authentic Cuban way of making cafecito — from the process to the tradition behind it.
Our hope is that whether you grew up drinking Cuban coffee or you’re trying it for the very first time, this video helps you experience a small piece of Cuban culture right from your kitchen.
So grab your espresso, sugar, and cafetera and make one with us.
